Saltamontes Puppet Theater was created in 1994 in Colombia, South America.

From „Kasper Theater“ to nonverbal Puppet Theater, Saltamontes Puppet Theater (SPT) offers a wide range of performances and workshops to provide thoughtful entertainment as well as an accessible medium for tolerance and understanding between people.

Saltamontes (Spanish for grasshopper) is a touring theater.  We have a selection of shows  and workshops that we can bring to your school, library, preschool or other event.

Since 2004, SPT has been based in Cham, Bavaria.  Saltamontes‘ art is multicultural and when desired, multilingual, offering shows in German, English or Spanish.
